Her friends all love her parties because they are different than the traditional weekend gatherings typical of high school kids. Iris plans a party for months. She gets some local bands or a DJ to play the party for free as the entertainers know they will be getting plenty of free publicity. She provides food, drinks and dancing that rival any of the school dances. And best of all, Iris plans and sews a new costume for each celebration.
